HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Some westbound lanes have reopened on the Katy Freeway at the West Loop on Wednesday afternoon after an 18-wheeler's load of pipes began shifting, according to Houston TranStar.
SkyEye13 was overhead, showing the 18-wheeler stalled on the right shoulder of the freeway just after. Drivers were also being diverted as officials blocked at least five lanes with cones and emergency vehicles.
Texas Department of Transportation officials arrived to assist the truck in getting the pipes back in postition to prevent them from falling off. Shortly before 4 p.m., TranStar cameras show traffic flowing easily through the lanes, but at least two others were closed.
The 18-wheeler was still at the scene as officials still worked to get the load back in the right position.
ABC13 is following this scene and will update as soon as the roadway clears.

At this time, authorities are urging drivers to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
